Kutak Rock LLP is a large law firm and lobbying group based in Omaha, Nebraska. In 2007, the firm was ranked by the National Law Journal as the largest law firm in the state of Nebraska, and the 119th largest in the United States by number of attorneys. The firm also ranked 150th in profit per attorney on the 2007 AmLaw 200 survey.[2] The firm's main office is in the historic Omaha National Bank Building.[3][4]
The firm has become especially well-known for its connection to the ethanol fuel industry, representing parties investing in and lending to producers of ethanol.[5]

The firm was founded in 1965 by Robert J. Kutak and Harold Rock.[6] Robert J. Kutak was very influential within the American Bar Association (ABA); today, the ABA offers a legal education award named for him.[7] He was also instrumental in purchasing and preserving the Omaha Bank Building for use as the firm's main office, and in building the firm's art collection. He died of a heart attack in 1983, at age 50.[8]
In 1999, the firm expanded its operations in Arkansas by adding nine lawyers from Hillary Clinton's former employers, the Rose Law Firm of Little Rock, Arkansas. [9]
Kutak Rock's Government Relations Group functions as a lobbying arm of the firm.[10] In addition, the firm has large practices in tax law, bankruptcy & restructuring, construction law, labor & employment, corporate law, bond issues, government contracts, military law, real estate, structured finance, and antitrust.[11]
